STOMP · Jan 26, 07:10 PM

I went to see STOMP last night at the Sheffield Lyceum. I was looking forward to seeing this, but it was much much better than I expected it to be. STOMP make use of everyday things as instruments, such as bins, paper, brushes, even the kitchen sink! The performance was innovative, humorous, and physical. I was surprised at how funny it was, the audience was in hysterics throughout. It did start a little slow, but it soon got going. Some of the simpler pieces became a little repetitive at times, but the big ensemble pieces that made use of melodies were fantastic. I’d definitely recommend people to go and see them perform as it is a really enjoyable show and you’re unlikely to see anything else like it.
