Love in Thoughts · Jan 21, 09:14 PM

I watched the German film Love in Thoughts yesterday. It is based on a true story about a couple of guys in the 1920s who agree on a suicide pact if they cannot achieve the love that they crave and believe they desire.
It’s an interesting film and very dark. The director appears to have used colour and lighting to reflect the changing mood of the film, with the scenes darkening as the film reaches its climax which works well. While clues to the ending are given from the opening of the movie I was a little surprised by the final outcome, although I guess if you know about the actual event this is less effective.
Overall it’s a good film, but it suffers a little from being too slow paced and uneventful at times, but it was worth watching.

I watched this film twice…and I strongly believe that it is a masterpiece. The director made a wonderful mix of dark and light colors and managed to create the best atmosphere for this touching and melancholic film…I really loved the beautiful sceneries and I cried when the little butterfly but its wings over the finger that touches the trigger.I do not believe that the film was too slow as I enjoyed every second… I also have to say that the soundtrack integrated the dark atmosphere perfectly as it was calm and beautiful and managed to awake both sad and beautiful feelings. As for the actors I think they were an excellent choice… In my opinion it was worth watching!!!
