arc_twitter v0.2
I’ve just released arc_twitter version 0.2 for Textpattern. New features include the ability to add a prefix and/or suffix to updates made to the Twitter website when you post a new article and a new arc_twitter_search tag. Full details, documentation and the download link can be found on the plugin’s page.
Just a quick note to those upgrading from a previous version of the plugin: a default tweet prefix is set when the plugin is installed. If you want to change or remove this just update the plugin’s preferences on your site. You can of course change this on an article-by-article basis by selecting ‘Options’ below the Update Twitter thing on the ‘Write’ tab.

Broken Embraces

Not Almodóvar’s finest, but enjoyable all the same. Perhaps a little too long and lacking the humour of his previous films. That said I loved the numerous film references throughout and the ending was great.

Star Trek

J. J. Abrams’ Star Trek movie gets a big thumbs up from me; much to my surprise I actually enjoyed a Star Trek film! Chris Pine (who I’d never heard of before) was an excellent Captain Kirk.

Mark of an Angel

I recommend Mark of an Angel staring Catherine Frot, a great performance in an unsettling thriller based on a true story. Why are the French so good at making thrillers?

In the Loop

In the Loop is f’ing hilarious! I was sceptical of the television to big screen transfer of the sitcom The Thick of It, but it works incredibly well and I was laughing all the way through.
